The first generation of focus was manufactured from 1998 to
2004. The used ford focus have a styling design. Unvield in 2011, it was
heavily update in 2014. The update biringing some upgrade. That was new engine,
new front grille and better quality interior. Made it comfort but it have lack
of rear legrom.
In 2005, ford launched the second generation of focus for
europe and U.S market. This upgrade just refresh the second generation. The hatch
and wagon were eventually discontinued, while a new coupe body style joined the
sedan. The third-generation body style was launch in 2012 for eac model 4-door sedan
and 5-door hatch.
In the engine side, this car have great enough engine.with a
wide range petrol engineand majority offering refinnement, low running cost and
reasonable peace. The engine with three cylinder configuration are especially
strong. A 160 hp 2.0 litre petrol engine was the initial engine offering followed
by high permoncance. In 2015, Ford focus launc economic engine 123 hp
turbocharged 1.0 three cylinder ecoboost engine. That engine offering great
driving and low fuel consumption. In the latest medel 2016 for focus RS powered
by a 350 hp turbocharged 2.3 litre ecoboost engine. With a six speed manual
transmission distributed by all wheel drive.

Egine And Performance
Unlike the current (non-ST) Ford Focus range,
available in four specification levels with three engine choices and one
electric powered choices. The engine choices is 2.0 litre, 2.3 litre and 1.0
litre i-3. Each choices have different power output and fuel consumption so you
must wathc the engine data specificly to understand what you need on this car.
1.0 litre Ecoboost I-3
This engine only available on Ford Focus SE sedan. The 1.0
litre petrol engine, have an Ecoboost technology which increase engine
efficienty, and make the output maximal. This engine produce 123 SAEnet on
6.000 RPM and the torque 125 Nm on 3.500 SAEnet. Very powerfull for the small engine.
Aluminium alloy bearing and direct injection system make this small engine
stable although this only three cylinder.
2.0 Ti-VCT Fuel Flex i-4
This engine can produce 160 SAEnet on 6.500 RPM and the
torque 146 Nm at 4.500 RPM. No ecoboost system on this engine but the EPA is
not bad 25 city/34 highway. The direct injection system and alluminium aloy
bearing, is present in this engine.
2.3 Litre Ecoboost i-4
The higest type of engine could produce 350 SAEnet at 6.000
RPM and the same torque 350 Nm at 3.200 RPM. Ecoboost techonolgy made this
engine compressed the fuel consumption. Although have a large displacement, it
have low fuel consumption witout decrease power output. You can see on the EPA
rating 19 city/25 highway.
Electric Motor Powerred
The last model of main power providers is an electric motor.
A permanent magnet electric traction is installed on the powertrain of all new
Ford Focus. How about the power output ? it can produce 107 Kw and the torque
until 250 Nm. The charging time is not long enough. You can charge for 5.5
hours on 240 volt charging.
